History
St. Cloud Blue Sox began in 2006 with one 11-year-old and under team. With the help of many committed parents serving as volunteers, the program expanded in 2007 to five teams at various age levels. This expansion allowed over 60 kids the opportunity to challenge themselves to become better baseball players, better athletes and better people by playing competitive baseball.
In the 2008 season, St. Cloud Blue Sox had six teams in five age groups with three teams winning division titles and one winning its league championship. In addition, St. Cloud Blue Sox hosted its first tournament in 2008.
In 2010, St. Cloud Blue Sox gave 142 players opportunities to play on 12 teams in 6 age groups. We hosted two tournaments for 10, 11, and 12 year old players, as well as the MSF State Tournament for 13 and 14 year old players. Our teams continue to earn success on the field with numerous teams earning hardware at various tournaments. Three teams won their Division in the Gopher State Baseball League: 10UAA, 10UAAA, and 11UAA. Three teams also played in the Gopher State League Championship Game, 10UAAA, 10UAA, and 14UAAA, with the 10UAA team earning the League Championship!
St. Cloud Travel Baseball was incorporated in January 2008 and the program was recognized as a non-profit agency through the IRS in late March 2008.
